Hello everyone, this is Lawrence McCorvey. I want to take a few moments to answer questions about integrating technology and todays standards with students and their accommodations. The first thing, in order to integrate technology, you have to know your student. If the have and IEP, know the accommodations and how they learn best. Hughes & Roblyer talks about the different technological tools used in the classroom such as smart boards, cell phones, and computers. I use all three in my classroom. In addition to that, you have to have some best practices you use in your classroom in order to interact with technology. One of my best practices is that each lesson must be interactive with technology. So, in order for a student to complete a lesson in my classroom, a student must interact with technology at least one time in order to complete that lesson. We learned in Reimagining Classrooms video that the new language of today for the students is technology and since that’s the case, as educators, we need to learn the language of technology.

Thanks so much, I look forward to seeing you again soon.
